Job Title: Barista Location: Elizabeth City Centre
Employment Type: Part-Time / Casual
Role Summary:As a Barista, you will be the face of Gloria Jean’s Coffee, crafting high-quality coffee and beverages while delivering outstanding customer service. You will play a key role in creating memorable experiences for our customers and maintaining the brand's exceptional coffee standards.
Responsibilities:

• Prepare and serve high-quality coffee, beverages, and food items.
  
• Operate and maintain coffee machines, grinders, and other equipment, including basic troubleshooting and cleaning.
  
• Serve drinks and food with attention to detail, ensuring quality control at all times.
  
• Lead the team with a positive vibe, fostering a collaborative and supportive work environment.
  
• Manage inventory and restock supplies as needed during shifts.
  
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the workspace, equipment, and dining area.
  
• Provide excellent customer service, including handling special requests and resolving complaints efficiently.
  
• Support team members during busy periods and set a strong example for professionalism and efficiency.
  

Requirements:

• Passion for coffee and learning about beverage preparation.
  
• Previous barista experience is desirable.
  
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
  
• Strong communication and leadership skills.
  
• Availability for flexible shifts, including weekends and holidays. (min 15 hours per week)
  

Pay:This is a legally paid position in accordance with the Restaurant Industry Award.

Role Summary:As a Service Team Member, you will provide exceptional service to our customers, ensuring they feel welcome and valued. You’ll manage customer orders, maintain store cleanliness, and support the team during peak periods.
Responsibilities:

• Greet and engage customers warmly, taking orders efficiently and accurately.
  
• Assist with food preparation, including sandwiches and cakes, to brand standards.
  
• Provide table service, delivering food and beverages promptly with excellent customer interaction.
  
• Perform general cleaning tasks, maintaining a clean and organized dining and service area.
  
• Process payments and manage cash registers with accuracy.
  
• Upsell and promote products, including seasonal specials and merchandise.
  
• Work collaboratively with the team to meet daily operational goals.
  

Requirements:

• Prior cafe experience required (min. 1 year)
  
• Friendly, approachable, and customer-focused attitude.
  
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks.
