Newly renovated in 2010, Daniel’s isan established part of Adelaide food culture and the restaurant scene. We aresituated in the heart of the city with a large balcony dining area overlooking themost popular shopping precinct in Adelaide.
Title:Cafe and Restaurant Manager Jobtype: Full Time Purposeof the position: The restaurant manager at Daniel’swill be responsibleto organise and control the operations of the restaurant providing customers dining and cateringservices, and enjoyment.
Wagepackage: $60, 000 per year+Bonus+ Superannuation (negotiable if with more than 10 years working experience)
EssentialRequirements: 1.Fluent English speaker with relatively good understanding of Asian culture is preferred; 2.Related working experience in Accommodation or food industry is preferred; 3.Associated degrees in management or business area; 4.Good customer service skill, communication skill and team work spirit.
Duties and responsibilities
- Organising and supervising the shifts of kitchen, waiting and cleaning staff. Coordinating all activities between the kitchen and dining room to ensure Daniel’s service is efficient
- Assessing and reviewing customer satisfaction. Problem-solving and investigative roles are added to the manager's duties when a customer complains about the food or service
- Maintaining high standards of quality control, hygiene, and health and safety
- Planning menus with Chefs
- Observing liquor, gaming, and other laws and regulations
- Taking responsibility for the business performance of the restaurant. Preparing reports at the end of the shift/week, including staff control, food control and sales. Arranging the purchasing and pricing of goods according to budget. Maintaining records of stock levels and financial transactions
- Preparing cash drawers and providing petty cash as required
- Organising marketing activities and special functions, such as promotional events and discount schemes
- Training and supervising waiting and kitchen staff
- Helping in any area of the restaurant when circumstances dictate
