STURT police arrested a man after he allegedly broke into a school and stole property on Christmas morning.
Police were conducting a routine patrol along Daws Rd, Melrose Park, at about 3.45am when they heard an alarm sounding at nearby Pasadena High School.
The patrol discovered the school had been broken into and property stolen.
Police then located a 35-year-old St Marys man hiding in the school grounds. He was arrested and charged with serious criminal trespass.
